Dealing with Depression ♡

This is for those who need help or for whose who want to be a supporter for those who need it~

Depression is no fun. It's a very big problem and really, it's common at any age but sadly it's not taken seriously at times. Especially for teens and young adults. It's seen as a phase and yes, that is true sometimes but to a certain point. For the past few months I have been feeling more down than usual about everything. I lost interest in a lot of things that I used to love and I don't feel the same. At first I thought that it was just a part of growing up but as the years have gone by I noticed that my feelings and thoughts have gotten worse to the point that it has been affecting me and the people I love. I don't enjoy anything anymore, I worry way more than I should, and I think bad thoughts all the time. But even though I feel at my lowest sometimes, I seek help from people who care and love me as much as I do with them. So if you're down in the dumps, you can always seek help. There are many resources now to help those in need and those who want to just talk. But what is awesome is that you can go to anyone for help. Parents, family members, friends, loved ones, teachers, counselors, and sometimes online. There are even anonymous services that you can use too. Because I am away from home and I am attending college, I will be going to an on campus counseling service to help me with my depression and anxiety. But currently I do some things to help myself feel better and maybe these can help you too!

♡ Talk to my best friends
♡ Talk to  my mommy
♡ Talk to my boyfriend
 Go out for a walk
♡ Eat or drink something yummy and something I really love
♡ Watch my favorite movie or show
♡ Look at baby seals and corgis
♡ Keep myself occupied
♡ Read my favorite book
♡ Cry to let it all out

Know that things will get better. There are always going to be poop days in life but the good days will always win. No matter how bad. Just keep looking forward and never stop trying and remember to go at your own pace.

YOU ARE A CUTIE WITH SO MUCH LOVIN' YOU CAN DO IT! WOOHOO!

If you know someone who is going through a tough time and you want to help, that is just amazing! Knowing someone who has depression can be heartbreaking. Especially if you don't want them to feel like that at all. It takes a lot of time, and support to get someone to feel 100% better. Even then, it's hard to tell if it will come up again. But just be there for that person, and always remind them that it's not the end. For them, just knowing that someone cares for them even at their worst is the greatest.

Here are some things that you can do to help:

Let them know that you want to help them
Listen to what they have to say even if you don't know how to respond
Try not to get frustrated, let them say what they need to at their own pace
Treat them out
♡ Suggest things to do
Give them smiles and hugs
Spend time with them
Do things they want/like to do
Don't give up on them

If they are in danger, please notify someone close to them and or help them seek professional help.

Now go off into the world Cutie-Pie! Run around, make the world happy, and spread the love.
